We believe that patients with MdDS should have easy access to experts who listen to their story and help them each step of the way. That's why at SOS Vertigo we combine the latest technology with in-depth knowledge and a human approach.
MdDS patients often struggle to find experts who can help them. That’s why SOS Vertigo:
Enabling easy remote access, contact, and follow-up.
From diagnosis to treatment and follow-up.
Our experts work together during the entire process.
There aren’t many clinicians who have expertise on MdDS. That meant patients had to travel, often by plane, to get help. With SOS Vertigo you can now book a meeting on our website and talk to our experts through a video call.
A fully digital approach is possible as we don’t need to physically examine patients. A detailed discussion on symptoms, occurrences and triggers and more information on past examinations are sufficient for a diagnosis. And with our Virtual Reality app we can treat patients remotely.
SOS Vertigo is a team of experts who work together closely. Combining different perspectives leads to the best solution.
Our team helps patients on every step of their journey. We split this up in 3 phases: first Diagnosis, then Treatment & Follow-up.
We start by collecting patient information on previous examinations and treatments via an online survey.
During a video call, our MdDS expert will discuss your condition in detail.
All information is analyzed by our MdDS expert and ENT doctor.
Our ENT doctor shares the diagnosis and possible treatments.
Treatment with the VR app starts with a number of sessions together with your dedicated caregiver. Over various sessions he/she will work very closely with you to help you use the app and answer your questions. Focus will be on:
Explain in detail how the VR application works and what effects are to be expected
Guide you through the first sessions using the VR app
Discuss first effects and answer questions you might have
Treatments take time. Some patients see a significant improvement after just a few days, while for others it may take longer. That is why our experts will follow up and advise over a longer period of time.
In a video call we follow-up on the process and assess the effects of the treatment over a longer period.
We follow up to determine if the treatment is succesful or needs to be continued or modified.
